This mission is accomplished through HFS Medical Programs that pay for a wide range of health services, provided by thousands of medical providers throughout Illinois, to about two million Illinoisans each year. Moms and Babies provides a full range of health benefits to eligible pregnant women and their babies up to one year of age. Medicaid provides free or low-cost health coverage to eligible needy persons.
